I simply do not understand WHY Jane continues to agree to doing this show. They are so rude to her! I suppose she wants the publicity for her upcoming movies, etc. I'm afraid this time they're going to put her on the spot about her comments concerning ex-governor Schwarzenegger. I'll be DVRing it, but pretty sure I'll be grimacing the entire time.

Well, it wasn't nearly as bad as I figured it would be. Whew! Most of her interview was with Sherry Shepherd--one of the two nicer ladies--and although it was tense for Jane, she did apologize for her comments and explain that it was an unexpected "ambush" by a reporter. Once that was over, the rest of the time went fine (mostly because Joy Behar didn't say too much at all!).

Jane Seymour wants the world to know she hasn't a clue when it comes to the Sperminator's private life.

Appearing on The View Friday, the erstwhile Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman star set the record straight on those remarks she made last week when said she was hardly shocked about Arnold Schwarzenegger having an illegitimate child because she heard that was just the tip of the iceberg.

"I am so beyond sorry and appalled that I found myself even talking on the subject at all," she told the gals. "You have to understand I didn't go out of my way to have this conversation. It was the premiere of my movie which had a very similar theme and that's why they asked me about it."

In case you missed it, here's what Seymour told CNN at the May 17 red carpet premiere of her new flick, Love, Marriage, Wedding, a day after Schwarzenegger copped to having an out-of-wedlock child, which as it turned out, was with his now-retired housekeeper, Mildred Baena, and kept it a secret for 13 years, including while he was California's governor.

"I was not even remotely surprised," the British actress said at the time. "The moment I heard it, that there was an announcement of their separation...He was obviously jumping the gun before everyone else told the world of the news."

And now for the kicker:

"From what I gather, I think there will be lots of information coming people's way," Seymour added. "I heard about two more [children] somebody else knows about. I even met someone who knows him well."

Ouch!

A few days later, she told The Wrap that she was "misquoted," adding she felt bad for Arnold's estranged wife, Maria Shriver, and their kids.

However, on this morning's edition of The View, the former James Bond star went further, offering up another clarification and a mea culpa.

"I do not know anything about any love children. Anything I said was stupidly listening to some stuff in the media that day, I don't even know where I heard it. And I didn't know anything about anything. And unfortunately the way it all got put together is all embarrassing," she said.

As for the pain she believes she may have caused Shriver and family, she expressed hope that "they'll accept my apology and realize I do not want in any way to exacerbate the pain that that family is going through."

Live and Let Die, indeed.
